TENSION HEADACHE RELIEF 😌

Daily tension, stress and just plain everyday life can make it a struggle with headaches. Tension headaches usually start on the side of the neck and then travel over to the side of the head. If bad enough, they can even be felt into the eyes.

A common cause of neck pain are the suboccipital muscles, which are located at the base of the skull (think where neck meets the back of the head).⠀

These muscles help stabilize the head on the neck (like a ball on a stick). and also perform movements like bending and turning the head.⠀

If the muscles become strained from too much forward leaning (think cell phones, computers, desk, driving, etc.), they can become painful and tight, leading to tension headaches.

So this exercise may be used help to reduce that tension and spasm of these muscles, and knock out neck pain and headaches. 💥🤛

HOW TO GET IT DONE:⠀
1️⃣ Put pressure at the most painful spot at the base of skull⠀
2️⃣ Keep as much pressure as tolerated, and then tuck the chin while pushing back into the pressure.⠀
3️⃣ Continue until there's pain relief, then move to the next painful spot (close by) and repeat⠀
4️⃣ Keep going throughout the neck until the tension has been worked out as much as possible. ⠀
.⠀
