The hamstrings are a group of three muscles located at the back of your upper thighs. They aid in performing knee flexion and hip extension. Sitting for a long time keeps the hamstrings in a shortened position, causing tightness. When the hamstrings become tight, they can pull on the pelvis, causing the low back to arch slightly, which may lead to lower back pain. 💥
