HOW TO FIX A GROWING CURVE IN THE UPPER BACK. ↪

In today's world, it's hard not to be hunched forward. Think using cell phones, computers, driving, or sitting at the desk... the list goes on and on. 📱⌨🚗

Repeatedly doing this over time may cause a noticeable curve in the upper back called hyperkyphosis, also known as 'hunchback' or 'humpback'. It commonly leads to new pains and aches in the back and neck, loss of flexibility, and increased fatigue. ⠀

So what's a good way to tackle this issue? 👉Thoracic extension exercise. This exercise is going to help stretch tight muscles (that are drawing the back and shoulders forward) while also helping to improve postural muscles in the upper back. ⠀

Thoracic extension focuses on retracting, or drawing backwards, the neck and back and bringing it into better alignment. Simply put, what goes forward must be brought back. 🔁

Doing this daily may help stretch and strengthen upper back muscles over time, leading to better posture and a less noticeable curve. This may also help decrease pains and aches throughout the day, and make work and daily activities easier to perform. ⠀
